"Around the World in a Summer" (ATWAS) Summer Camp
One Village Alliance incorporates cultural diversity and enrichment fun with evidence based curricula to take youth participants on an educational journey "Around the World in a Summer!" (ATWAS).
"Around the World in a Summer" (ATWAS) is a comprehensive, cultural immersion summer camp experience hosted by One Village Alliance. Designed and implemented by culturally competent educators, the program is purposed to combat summer learning loss, address the social emotional needs of youth and foster a life-long love of learning. ATWAS takes students on a global journey through Literature, History, World Economy and the Arts through the lens of Black Indigenous People of Color (BIPOC).

SALEM, NJ
Through this fun journey, we address the summer learning loss that contributes to the achievement gap between children from economically disadvantaged communities and wealthier, more advantaged youth with greater access to learning supports. With curriculum developed by OVA's, enhanced with evidence-based literacy interventions, ATWAS is designed to improve reading proficiency and foster a love of learning that lasts year round!
